and all the lights from all the windows
are glowing warm onto the road
where the first snow has blanketed the city
and made everything so quiet and still
i am thinking about being inside
one of those windows with you
of inviting you up to boil water
and make two cups of hot chocolate
which would later sit abandoned on the
counter, steaming away in the kitchen…
I am staring up at your face
as it is framed by my frosty eyelashes
and I am slipping my hands into your pockets
while softly falling snowflakes
are caught on our tounges like kisses
You are melting the icicles all around me.
